Fixing Hinge Spigots for Gates
1. Fixing bolts on hinge spigots do not need rawl plugs. Simply drill a hole in the pillar where the gate or railings using a masonry drill 2 mm LESS than the size on the end of the bolt
2. When fixing your gate always fix the spigots to an upright and flat surface such as a brick wall or concrete post.
The fixing bolts supplied work best with concrete or brick.Mark out the desired Spigot hole locations.
3. Support your gate using a block of wood or similar at the required height. Somebody to hold the gate straight can be a big help. Check the level with a spirit level.
4. Fit the bottom hinge first and then the top one. For security turn the top hinge spigot up the other way or flatten the end with a heavy hammer once in position.
